SmartOps24x7 is designed for the real-time tracking of containers of material, assets and serialized items which have a unique license plate number barcode and/or RFID tag attached. This is essential for real-time tracking and management of  industrial operations. It includes tracking the shipping, receipt, warehousing, movement, transformation, labeling, picking and packing of these materials in a wide variety of applications.

By contrast, ERP, accounting, and conventional warehouse management systems track the quantity of specific items at specific locations. While this is adequate for many applications, these software products do not address situations where the tracking of individual containers of material, serialized items, or assets is required, especially where these have to be tracked at many different geographic locations in real-time.
