SmartOpsTracker Overview

A SmartOpsTracker™ IOT appliance is used to track jobs and materials and managing process flow at a single manufacturing and/or distribution site. SmartOpsTracker provides an inexpensive solution to enable operations managers to efficiently run their manufacturing operations with minimal overhead staff.

At its core is the SmartOpsMgt Operations Tracking Database, which contains the status and history of all the orders, jobs and materials being tracked and managed at the site

Orders can be entered into SmartOpsTracker by means of a web-browser interface or automatically imported from an ERP or other system into the database. Transactions can then be recorded through the web-browser interface using a wide-variety of devices equipped with a barcode scanner.

This transactional data is used to update the status of jobs, orders, and materials in real-time as well as to record the history of changes in the database. Intelligent Agent Processes (IAPs) can then then be scheduled to exchange information with a wide range of ERP and accounting systems, as well as generative AI chatbots and supply chain trading partners.

IAPs can also monitor activity in the operations management database and send alerts to managers and their staff when events occur that they need to pay attention to. This same mechanism is used to automatically prepare and distribute reports to other managers and their staff.

The software used in SmartOpsTracker is an integration of the proven SmartOps24x7 software suite, which includes the BellHawk barcode data capture and operations tracking software with the MilramX intelligent agent platform in a WIPtracker configuration.

While a single SmartOpsTracker can meet the needs of many small manufacturing plants, running stand-alone,  there comes a time in the growth of the enterprise where additional capabilities, such as interfaces to weighing scales and on-demand barcode label printing are needed. For these capabilities, we supplement SmartOpsTracker with IOT Devices.
